_need_

dory. this is a public acknowledgement that I am jealous I am of your - how did you put it - “1337 knitting skillz”? A phrase which has only been written once on the internet.

I _need_ those mittens. Bad.

Dory and I were having a good discussion at the indymedia party on why jews are funnier than nerds.

The one nerd/geek story i remember telling her about was when someone was made a Star Trek reference to me that he thought was funny. Since I’m not a Trekkie I didn’t get it and I said we should build a Star Trek to Buffy API for this kinda thing. With plug-ins for Star Wars. Hilarity ensued.

See? A jew would never make that joke.

The other thing that I forgot to tell you all about the party was that the keg was full of this killer stout. That’s right. A indymedia drag keg party in the midwest with awesome beer. Unbelievable.

yulblog t-shirts?

Tuesday, June 28th, 2005

Hey,

I’ve been thinking about what to put on a t-shirt since I saw Neale making a t-shirt of his favorite game designers.

Two desires: 1 - to wear something that represents me better than a sports/band t-shirt, 2 - to wear something that a certain mass of my peers recognize.

I was thinking about wearing a blogroll (even though I don’t have a blogroll here) but it didn’t seem to visually appealing.

Then Karl made the simple suggestion that Yulblog t-shirts might do the trick. So, if someone (*cough*Pat*cough*) wants to make them with a 5-10 dollar premium that would be great. If not, I’m going to print up one of my own.

I’ve got to have this

SpiderGoat dolls!!!! I’ve been semi-obssed with these for the last 4 years, especailly because they’re from Quebec (the spider-goats, not the dolls).

this inspired me to start a new category.
