Among other project, we’re investigating the socio-economic implications of municipal Wi-Fi adoption and we’re now organizing a two day seminar on the topic for the Florence County Government, Italy.

We would like to invite a representative from The Ile Sans Fil project to present the experience gained in Montreal as for providing free Wi-Fi Internet access to citizens, from the technical and social point of view.

The seminar will take place in Florence on May 18th and 19th and it will feature 6 to 8 City Wi-Fi best cases from both Europe and the US. The Florence County Government is about to finance a multi-million dollar Wi-Fi infrastructure, which will be up and running by Spring 2007. We really hope that you can join the event. Of course, all travelling and living expenses will be covered by the Florence government.
