more stuff happened

that’s right folks.

I had a good time on monday lecturing / panel-ng for my friend Gerardo’s managment class at McGill (The Social Context of Business). He invited Eric Abitbole, grand poobah of University of the Streets, and me to wax about different models of IP and the Commons and some-such. I love listening to Eric and the kids were pretty attentive - so it was fun. I didn’t talk about IP very much. Instead I focused on looking at the processes which surrounded a lot of these alternative IP projects and what was interesting about them from a managment pov - and what the students could take from them into regular businesses.

Then off to Ottawa to pick something up from Canada Council. While in Ottawa I got to have an amazingly fun dinner with Tracey, who I’ve become friends with since I met her last year at a conference in Winnipeg. She’s the real deal behind CivicAccess in that she’s the only one of the 4 of us who has actually worked in the area and I’m appreciative of the chance to get to work with her. She has absolutely amazing experience working in community development and she’s been very supportive - giving me feedback on grant applications and such.

So I’m happy to announce that she now has a blog. She’s doing awesome stuff, so it’s great that it will be easier for me to share it with people.
