recording of Bruce Mau’s lecture at McGill

patrick doan, my amazingly talented ex-flatmate from ougadougou, recorded a lecture he thought I would be interested in. I haven’t really heard of this person except for that exhibition, but I’m going to give it a listen. I thought that enough of you are interested in the impact of design that I would share it.

Bruce Mau is one of Canada’s leading public intellectuals, an internationally recognized expert on innovation and creativity, and, according to The Globe and Mail, “arguably our greatest designer.” He willfully ignores all professional boundaries, expanding the concept of design into intellectual territory it rarely dares to tread. In this presentation, drawing on the ideas and images from his acclaimed exhibition Massive Change, Mau looks to the future of environmental design, and explores the ways in which design is improving the quality of life for millions of people around the world, and the possibilities that exist to extend this revolution to the entire human race.

phew - that was the last post i had stored up. finished.
