Using OPML for Thinking, Writing, Publishing
the way that dave winer seemed to be using it (near the end of the screencast) seems to solve one of the things I want filtering to do - which is to pass on information automatically from A to B to C. Now the way it happens is that A filters stuff, B gets it automatically, but then B has to manually re-filter all that stuff so that C gets it. That’s bad.
. . . . eh - not sure how - no - this could be good. need to have coffee with boris and the frenchman. they’ll sort me out with a few pictures of cylinders and trees.

Explain what you want to do. There’s likely a million better ways to do it than OPML. In a nutshell, the markup in OPML adds zero value as opposed to for example a tab delimited text file. In otherwords, it’s mostly garbage (literally).
OPML stands for Outline Processor Markup Language. It was cretaed for managing outlines, mainly their display, not much else.
So, yeah, explain what you want to do? :) We’ll get the cylinders and trees ready…
