holy crap. I did it!
I figured out how to put the mycomments feed on my blog! Look! over there on the right! aiieee!
Sorry - the reason I’m so excited is because I don’t know any html / css / programming. nada. So I am kind of a geek couch surfer getting help and hosting from this person and then the next. Yesterday I was able to get rid of showing my categories on the right-hand (because I hate trying to categorize and need to switch to a tagging system). And today I stumbled on this rss-to-javascript and finanlly spent the 10 minutes necessary to make it work.
I feel very empowered.
BTW - I try to save most of the comments I leave on other people’s blogs and photos. I’ve been doing it for a while. I do that by first getting a free account at delicious - which is an internet based bookmarking system, second - using firefox as my web-browser, third - installing the delicious bookmarklet for firefox and setting it up, and fourth - whenever I leave a comment somewhere (on someone’s blog, on someone’s flickr pic, in a forum) I highlight it, right-click and chose Delicious - Post current page. That way the commented text goes directly into the extended description field and is available in the RSS feed that delicious gives out. To make the rss feed show up here I used rss-to-javascript.
(yes hugh, I know that you said to do this long ago - but I was intimidated. and it would be nice if you blogged from sanfran. we’re wondering how you’re doing)

not all mycomments
re: publishing my mycomments feedI switched the rss feed from showing delicious items that were tagged as mycomments to showing delicious items that were tagged as mycomments *and* public. Because I want to keep track of all my comments, but…
