The story behind today’s lesson is that I have 2 people in my Gmail address book who have the same initials for the first and middle name, as well as the same last name. Both of them have the same nickname, a diminuation of the last name. Unfortunately, one of them is a friend’s business associate and the other is the aformentioned girl.
And therein lies my shame.

ha! ouch. In my last year of uni I sent an email to a friend complaining about how much I hated working on my undergrad thesis, how my thesis adviser was breaking my balls, how engineering sucks, how stupid and annoying my thesis was.
now I was in email contact with this friend of mine to put her in touch with my thesis adviser, because she was doing a masters in a similar field.
long story short: I cc’d prof by accident.
