and
delicious did that thing that I said they should do 6 months ago. the thing where they automatically add tags for some media files (the ones they can tell what they are).
Writing this is kinda funny - because the technical half of my blog readership is thinking “Yeah? So? That was so obvious.” and the non-technical half is saying “Hunh? I’m going to go see if they’re any muffins left in the break room”. So I impressed nobody - except myself.
And I think it’s very cool. And I like being around people that are just a little bit smarter than me. I get it, but only mostly. I’m thinking right now about creating a channel and whether there would be a way to actually be an elegant way to automatically collect the media using the rss enclosure even though the RSS feed is from delicious (or another tracking system) instead of the original source (where the media lives).

Stop it! I’m not any smarter than you! I just have more experience in this field. Just like you have (WAY) more than I in other things!
:)
Yeah the first thing i thought when I saw delicious do this is “hrmm… set up an aggregator of funny::videos, package it up with interstitial commercials and voila! my own web TV station for my friends!”

I really liked seb’s third url. I thought it would be able to play a list of delicious audio links, but it didn’t work so good. I guess it had a bunch of different types of audio files, including stuff that webjay couldn’t play.
