show and tell
there’s a show-and-tell tonight. I’m going to include a few links here of things that I thought of during the day. The terms of the day were geography, data and text visualization, and art. So these are the projects I thought up of. If you have others to suggest please include them in the comments and tell me a bit about them. It would be apprecaited.
google maps + craigslist housing
flickr - photo social sharing site
geobloggers - flickr + google maps
Joi’s “blog fingerprint” - example of text visualization
sociablechat - space-based chat (not real space).
Laika’s portal page - IleSansFil
and finally - if you haven’t heard of these things, it’s because they’re famous ;-)
oh yeah - I’m at this conference and it’s being streamed. Here’s the agenda (pdf).
UPDATE: That went quite well. They seemed to enjoy it.

I also would have suggested my own google-maps related project, which admittedly hasn’t actually produced anything yet, but it will.

thanks. I like the artmob stuff. We’re going to do some that stuff for art that shows up on the ISF network. I’m not sure how the artists will take it, but what the hey.
And buddyspace - I’ve checked it out before - but now I’m going to contact the developpers and ask them a few questions.
