I got the queen’s maple syrup
My presentation for the conference of Quebec libraries was today. Since the westmount library organized a lot of it, they gave out the “thank you’s” to speakers.
Turns out, Westmount gave the Queen a silver syrup container at some point. Now, they order a special batch of maple syrup to give to her each year to fill the container. It’s like an eternal supply. They also keep some to give to esteemed speakers ;-)
I think it’s a riot. And I’m having some people over for brunch on Sunday. I can’t wait to tell them that they’re eating Maple Syrup made for the Queen.
