Defending their turf
I was responding over at Alison’s on her entry about “multiple approaches” for a city’s wifi access (public/private/gov/community). I agree with her in general that partnerships can be a good thing and I know she wasn’t trying to cover all the angles in a 5-sentence blog entry, but I have been listening today to the guys at NYCwireless get all upset because someone else is stepping on their toes. And I totally agree with them. I would be fuming if a similar thing happened here.
